Presentations are an essential way we communicate high-stakes ideas. Yet, oh, the dreaded PowerPoint. Really that's our first mistake, calling presentations PowerPoints. Sadly, like Thoreau said, "We've become the tool of our tools."
We dread presentations because we've come to expect them to be slide decks with bullet points and more bullet points. The tendency is to create slides and we forget that as communicators we need to think of the story first.

Let's shift from creating PowerPoints to creating presentations. Yes, PowerPoint is still the tool, but instead of creating individual slides—we're creating a story. A story that has the potential to resonate so that you generate buy-in, sales revenue or new understanding.

In order to introduce Hudson's leadership development program to business executives and HR representatives, we developed a webinar presentation (excerpt featured here) to explain the benefits of teaching coaching skills to team leaders.
Part of a larger content marketing campaign, the infographics were also featured in eBlast newsletters, social media graphics and other collateral.
MICROSOFT CLOUD PROTOTYPE PRESENTATION
FOR NEVER STOP MARKETING
We created the self-run presentation given to the sponsors of the BPOS-Community Driven Marketing Pilot that Never Stop Marketing did in collaboration with Microsoft.
We helped develop the story, created the look and feel and designed the timed presentation (in PowerPoint) that was set to music and saved as a movie.
MAKE EVERYONE A MARKETER CASE STUDY VIDEO
FOR NEVER STOP MARKETING
We created a case study presentation video (developed in PowerPoint) to illustrate the business impact of Never Stop Marketing's program to Make Everyone A Marketer (MEAM).
After the program, the video presentation was shown to the client and other stakeholders to educate them about the value their team generated over the course of the initiative.
THE PRODUCTIVITY PUZZLE TRAINING PRESENTATION
FOR SARA CAPUTO CONSULTING
A leadership development program, The Productivity Puzzle is taught in both large and small business settings to leaders and their teams. The presentation was created to aid Sara when teaching. Here we share just a small sampling of the 100-plus slides created for Sara to be able to customize her presentations based on each of her client's needs.
We developed the visual style, illustrations and flow for both the presentation and the workbook. Everything complimented the new branding we also created with Sara.
